Prepfab's Porsche 911 Rally Car.
Built to comply with FIA/HRCR Classic Regulations which allow the use of coil-over suspension and
4 pot brakes
this Porsche 911RS has been built to tackle the British Historic Rally Championship.
Like the Prepfab Post Historic
911 the car runs a similar flat six cylinder engine fed
by a twin triple downdraft carbs. Obviously the bodyshell has been meticulously prepared in the Prepfab
workshops
to the latest specifications using the full list of parts available in the Prepfab Catalogue.
Inside are Recaro seats, Stack instrumentation and a Coralba Trip as well as a host of Prepfab alloy parts.
As well as the new style Prepfab pedal assembly the footwell area features a trick combined
navigators/drivers footrest which was also built into the shell preparation early in the build.

PREPFAB's PORSCHE 911 POST HISTORIC SPEC RALLY
CAR
Prepfab's Porsche 911 Rally
Car.
Built to full Post Historic Regulations
the car's specification includes a full-on
six cylinder engine fed
by a twin triple choke PMO carb set up
with the gases exiting via one of Prepfab's
own repackable silencers. The bodyshell
itself has been treated to the full list
of Prepfab strengthening and preparation
options. A bespoke wiring loom by Tony
Devantier supplies the sparks while the
power is put down through Minilite 15"
wheels shod with Dunlop tyres. Other Prepfab
products included in the build are a full
T45 weld in roll cage, Perspex Window
Kit, Prepfab Alloy Petrol and Dry Sump
Tanks and Prepfab Racing Battery Tray.
The car also boasts full Aeroquip stainless
hoses throughout. Inside the Porsche features
Recaro Seats, Sabelt Harnesses, a full
complement of instruments with a Coralba
Trip, Prepfab Bias Pedal Box, Driver's
and Navigator's Foot Rests and Prepfab
Alloy Door Cards.
The car, whilst obviously being built
as a showcase of Prepfab's offerings to
the Porsche Market, was driven by Jimmy
McRae in the 2005 Roger Albert Clark Rally
in November 2005 together with a number
of Prepfab Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts.
